Bryan Starkweather Killed in Police Pursuit Crash in Irondequoit, NY – August 3, 2025

On August 3, 2025, Bryan Starkweather, a 24-year-old white male, died in a fatal crash following a police pursuit in Irondequoit, New York. According to official records, an officer with the Irondequoit Police Department attempted to stop Starkweather, who was operating a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle at high speed on Titus Avenue. Starkweather did not comply, continuing north on Culver Road. Officers lost visual contact near Sweet Fern Road.

Shortly thereafter, another officer discovered the aftermath of a collision involving Starkweather’s motorcycle and a Nissan SUV on Lakeshore Boulevard, near the Durand Eastman Beach parking lot. Starkweather was pronounced dead at the scene. The New York State Attorney General’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into the pursuit and subsequent crash.
