Cecilya Romero Salazar Injured in US Highway 97 Rollover Crash in Okanogan County, Washington on December 24, 2025
Cecilya Romero Salazar, a 24-year-old resident of Riverside, was injured early Friday morning following a single-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. Highway 97 in Okanogan County, Washington. The incident occurred at approximately 2:40 a.m. near milepost 293 when a northbound Chevrolet Colorado left the roadway, traveled down an embankment, and came to rest on its passenger side.
Authorities reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle under circumstances that remain under investigation. The driver, identified as 29-year-old Colt R. Hatch of Riverside, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. Romero Salazar, who was riding as a passenger and was not restrained, sustained injuries and was transported by paramedics to Mid Valley Hospital for medical treatment. Investigators noted that impairment was a factor in the crash, though responsibility has not yet been clarified. No other vehicles were involved, and the truck was declared a total loss as the Washington State Patrol continues its investigation.
