Charmaine Beleele Injured in US 412 Crash in Hindsville, Arkansas on January 13, 2026 – One Fatality Reported at Highway 45 Intersection

On January 13, 2026, a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of US 412 and Highway 45 in Hindsville, Madison County, Arkansas. According to the Arkansas State Police, a 2009 Ford Focus traveling northbound attempted to cross US 412 and failed to yield to a westbound 2020 Chevy Equinox. The Equinox struck the Ford Focus and subsequently hit a stop sign. Weather conditions were reported as clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the crash.

Charmaine Beleele, 77, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, was a passenger in the Ford Focus and sustained injuries in the collision. She was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center/NW Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Ford Focus, 85-year-old Lawrence Beleele of Fort Smith, was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Chevy Equinox, 61-year-old Katie Reynolds of Huntsville, was also reported injured. The incident was investigated by Arkansas State Police, and next of kin notifications were completed.
