Christopher Boyd Involved in Semi-Tractor Crash Near Lanark, Illinois on December 4, 2025

Christopher Boyd, 53, of Franklin Grove, Illinois, was involved in a two-vehicle traffic collision on Thursday afternoon, December 4, 2025, in Carroll County. According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 1:18 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 52 and Benson Road on the eastern edge of Lanark. The incident involved a semi-tractor and a passenger vehicle.

Investigators reported that the passenger vehicle, driven by an 18-year-old woman traveling north on Benson Road, stopped at a posted stop sign before entering the intersection and turning in front of the eastbound semi-tractor operated by Christopher Boyd. The driver of the passenger vehicle was airlifted to a Rockford hospital for treatment. Boyd was evaluated at the scene and declined medical transport. The crash remains under investigation by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from multiple local emergency agencies.
