Christopher L. Refsdal Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 104 Near Kingston, Washington on November 29, 2025

Christopher L. Refsdal, 40, of Poulsbo, died following a head-on motor vehicle collision on State Route 104 near Kingston, Washington, on November 29, 2025. According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. just east of Striebel’s Corner near the intersection with Carlin Court. A commercial box truck traveling eastbound crossed the center line and struck a westbound Ford F-150 driven by Refsdal.

Refsdal was pronounced dead at the scene. A 38-year-old female passenger in the Ford F-150, also from Poulsbo, was transported to St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale for treatment. Authorities reported that the driver of the commercial truck, a 37-year-old woman from Bremerton, was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and is suspected of negligent driving. All occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. The highway was temporarily closed as investigators examined the scene.
