Cindy Wiatrek Killed in Seguin, Texas Pedestrian Crash on November 26, 2025 Involving Police Vehicle

Cindy Wiatrek, 67, of Seguin, Texas, was killed in a pedestrian collision on the morning of November 26, 2025, according to local authorities. The incident occurred around 5:54 a.m. in the 14000 block of State Highway 123 South, just south of the Seguin city limits. Police stated that Wiatrek was struck by a department-issued vehicle driven by a Seguin police officer who was en route to work at the time of the crash.

Due to the fatal nature of the incident, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to assist with the investigation. The officer involved was placed on administrative leave in accordance with department policy, and Seguin police confirmed that an internal review is underway. Authorities have not released further details as the investigation remains ongoing.
