Karen Hernandez Nearly Struck as Jeep Crashes Into Leominster Store on January 6, 2026 – Twin Sons Injured by Flying Glass

On January 6, 2026, an afternoon crash disrupted routine activity at a convenience store in Leominster, Massachusetts, when a Jeep Wrangler struck the front entrance of Family Farms at 202 Merriam Avenue. Authorities reported minor injuries in connection with the incident, which remains under investigation by local police. Preliminary accounts from witnesses indicate that the Jeep was hit by another vehicle that allegedly ran a red light before careening into the storefront. The driver of the Jeep was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Inside the store at the time was Karen Hernandez, accompanied by her 10-year-old twin sons. As they approached the register, Hernandez recalled hearing a loud impact that she initially believed to be an explosion. The vehicle came to a stop only feet from where they were standing. One of her sons sustained minor cuts to his forehead from shattered glass and was later treated at an urgent care facility. Though shaken, Hernandez and her children avoided more severe harm. The circumstances surrounding the collision continue to be reviewed by investigators.
