Darren Lucas Killed in Zion, Illinois Pedestrian Crash on November 3, 2025

A fatal pedestrian collision occurred on the afternoon of November 3, 2025, at the intersection of 33rd Street and Sheridan Road in Zion, Illinois. First responders located the victim unresponsive upon arrival and transported him to Vista Medical Center East, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 59-year-old Darren Lucas of Beach Park. Preliminary autopsy findings confirmed that Lucas died from blunt force injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. The Zion Police Department, in coordination with the Major Crash Assistance Team, continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
