Donald Lawrence Gilbert Injured in Fayal Township, Minnesota Crash on January 31, 2026 Along Highway 37
On January 31, 2026, a two-vehicle collision was reported west of Highway 53 along Highway 37 in Fayal Township, located in Minnesota’s St. Louis County. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2016 Dodge Journey that had been parked on the shoulder attempted to enter westbound traffic and was broadsided by a 2023 GMC Acadia already traveling west. Road conditions were described as dry at the time of the incident.
Donald Lawrence Gilbert, 75, of Aurora, Minnesota, was a passenger in the Dodge Journey. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Virginia Hospital for medical evaluation. The driver of the Dodge Journey, Debra Lynn Gilbert, 70, reported no injuries. The driver of the GMC Acadia, 38-year-old Cindy Marie Bradach of Eveleth, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the same facility. Three juvenile passengers in the Acadia were reported uninjured. Authorities indicated that seat belts were in use by all occupants, and alcohol was not suspected as a contributing factor. Emergency responders from multiple local agencies assisted at the scene.
