Dylan Kemp Killed in Potterville, Michigan Construction Site Accident – June 16, 2025
On June 16, 2025, a fatal construction accident occurred at the site of a gymnasium under construction at Potterville High School in Potterville, Michigan. Dylan Kemp, 27, an employee of subcontractor Eagle Enterprise, sustained critical injuries after multiple unsecured steel trusses collapsed onto an aerial lift in which he and another worker were positioned. The workers fell approximately 45 feet to the ground. Kemp succumbed to his injuries the following day.
The Michigan Occupational Health and Safety Administration (MIOSHA) has initiated an investigation into the incident. Initial findings indicate that earlier in the day, other steel trusses had also fallen, but work continued. The second worker remains in critical condition. The construction manager for the project, Clark Construction, has confirmed the fatality and is cooperating with authorities. As of now, no formal findings have been released.
