Edward Price Killed in Hillside, Illinois Pedestrian Crash at Butterfield and Wolf Roads on December 17, 2025

A fatal pedestrian crash in west suburban Hillside claimed the life of a 78-year-old man on the afternoon of December 17, 2025. According to local authorities, the collision occurred near the intersection of Butterfield Road and Wolf Road when a driver lost control of a vehicle and struck a pedestrian attempting to enter a parking lot from the street.

Edward Price was pronounced dead at the scene. Police reported that the out-of-control vehicle also struck multiple cars, including a squad car stopped at a red light. Eight people, among them two police officers and the driver, were transported to area hospitals. Details regarding the extent of their injuries were not released.
