Linda Garvin Fatally Struck in Price, Utah on December 17, 2025 While Crossing Street Near School Event

Linda Garvin, a 64-year-old fourth-grade teacher in Price, Utah, died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street on the evening of December 17, 2025. The incident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. near 500 North and 300 East, where Garvin was walking in a crosswalk with other pedestrians while attending a work-related gathering. She was transported in critical condition to Castleview Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Price Police reported that the driver, identified as a teenager and the sole occupant of the vehicle, remained at the scene and has been cooperative with investigators. No contributing factors have been disclosed, and the crash remains under investigation. Linda Garvin was identified by the Carbon School District as a teacher at Castle Heights Elementary School, where officials acknowledged her death and the ongoing impact on staff and students.
