Fatal Bridgeport Crash Claims Life of Natailia Acevedo Mendez in Chicago, Illinois on November 3, 2025

Authorities in Chicago have identified 21-year-old Natailia Acevedo Mendez as one of two victims killed in a collision on West 35th Street in the Bridgeport neighborhood. The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. when an eastbound red sedan crossed a median after the driver lost control, placing the vehicle directly in the path of a westbound SUV. The resulting impact caused severe trauma to the sedan’s occupants.

Both the 24-year-old driver and passenger Natailia Acevedo Mendez were transported to Stroger Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The occupants of the SUV sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Chicago police have stated that the investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains ongoing.
