Fatal Motorcycle Collision Claims Life of Todd Curtis Thorstad in Sauk Centre, Minnesota – September 25, 2025

On the morning of September 25, 2025, a fatal three-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 28 and Highway 71 in Sauk Centre Township, Stearns County, Minnesota. According to official reports, a 2025 Freightliner straight truck traveling eastbound on Highway 28 collided with a 1997 Harley Davidson FLHR Cruiser, which was stopped behind a Chevrolet Silverado at a stop sign. The Freightliner then struck the Chevrolet in the intersection.

Todd Curtis Thorstad, a 63-year-old male from Glenwood, Minnesota, was operating the Harley Davidson at the time of the incident. Thorstad was not wearing a helmet and sustained fatal injuries in the collision. No other injuries were reported. The incident occurred under dry road conditions and involved response from Sauk Centre Police, Fire, and Ambulance services.
