Gabriel Garcia, Sr. Fatally Struck in La Verkin, Utah on November 15, 2025
On November 15, 2025, Gabriel Garcia, Sr., a resident of La Verkin, Utah, was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing SR-9 near 100 South. Emergency personnel from La Verkin Police, Hurricane Police, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue responded to the scene. Garcia was transported to St. George Regional Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the collision. Garcia is survived by his son, Gabriel, and daughter, Elizabeth. Family and friends have described him as a devoted father. A GoFundMe initiative has been organized to assist with funeral expenses as the family copes with the sudden loss.
