Gloria Guevera Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Tidwell Road | Harris County, TX | August 7, 2025
On August 7, 2025, 22-year-old Gloria Guevera was killed in a fatal hit-and-run collision in northeast Harris County, Texas. The crash occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Tidwell Road and CE King Parkway. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Guevera’s red Mustang was rear-ended by a speeding white truck, forcing her vehicle into oncoming traffic where it collided head-on with another truck hauling a trailer.
Guevera, who was reportedly two to three months pregnant, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 16-year-old passenger traveling with her was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Authorities later identified and arrested 60-year-old Jose Sanchez Olivarez, who was charged with two counts of failure to stop and render aid. The suspect’s vehicle, a white Nissan Titan, was also recovered by investigators.
