On January 21, 2026, a two-vehicle collision occurred along Highway 52 at Milepost 28 in Chatfield Township, Fillmore County, Minnesota. The crash, reported shortly after 10:20 a.m., involved a northbound 2005 Toyota Prius and a southbound 2018 Ford Expedition. Heidi Ann Eger, 33, of Canton, Minnesota, was a passenger in the Toyota Prius. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Olmsted Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Prius, Andrea Christina Eger, 37, of Spring Grove, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Occupants of the Ford Expedition, including the driver and a two-year-old passenger, were treated for similar injuries and taken to Saint Mary’s Hospital. Authorities reported that seat belts were in use and that alcohol was not suspected as a factor in the crash.
