Abdinasar Muhumed Ali Injured in Highway 23 and 1st Street Intersection Crash in Milaca, Minnesota on February 14, 2026

A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 23 and 1st Street in Mille Lacs County resulted in one reported injury late on the evening of February 14, 2026.

According to authorities, the collision occurred at approximately 9:20 p.m. when a 2025 Kia K5 traveling eastbound on 1st Street attempted to turn left onto Highway 23. During the turn, the Kia collided with a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan that was traveling westbound on Highway 23. Abdinasar Muhumed Ali, 20, of Blaine, Minnesota, was a passenger in the Kia at the time of the crash. Ali sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to M Health Princeton for medical treatment. The Kia was driven by Mohamed Noor Mohamed, 23, of Woodbury, Minnesota, who was not injured. Several additional passengers were present in both vehicles but did not report injuries. Authorities indicated that alcohol was not suspected as a factor in the crash and road conditions were reported to be dry at the time of the collision.
