Adeline Beatrice Woinarowicz Injured in Highway 2 and South Road Intersection Crash Near UMC Campus in Crookston, Minnesota on February 15, 2026
A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 2 and South Road near the University of Minnesota Crookston campus resulted in injuries on the morning of February 15, 2026.
According to authorities, the crash occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. when a 1996 Chevrolet Caprice traveling northbound on Highway 2 collided with a 2006 Ford Focus that was heading westbound on South Road. Adeline Beatrice Woinarowicz, 82, of Euclid, Minnesota, was a passenger in the Chevrolet at the time of the collision. Woinarowicz sustained non-life-threatening injuries but was not transported to a medical facility. The Chevrolet was driven by Leonard John Woinarowicz, 62, also of Euclid, who was not injured. The Ford Focus was driven by Nickolaus Harvey Bachmeier, 18, of Crookston, Minnesota, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Crookston Hospital for treatment. Authorities reported that seat belts were in use and alcohol was not suspected as a factor. Road conditions were reported as wet at the time of the crash.
