Janet L. Roberson Injured in Spirit Lake Memorial Highway Crash in Cowlitz, WA on November 29, 2025

On November 29, 2025, Janet L. Roberson, a 61-year-old resident of Marysville, Washington, sustained injuries in a traffic collision on Spirit Lake Memorial Highway near the State Route 505 turnoff in Cowlitz County. Roberson was a passenger in a white 2016 Volvo S60 when the vehicle slowed to turn onto a driveway and was struck by a gray 2000 Toyota 4Runner attempting to pass. The Toyota was operated by a 20-year-old resident of Toutle, whose vehicle also carried a passenger.

All three individuals involved were transported to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center for treatment. Both vehicles sustained major damage, and authorities have indicated that the investigation into the cause and liability of the collision remains ongoing.
