Jax Affolter Killed in Chisago City Head-On Collision – October 25, 2025

On October 25, 2025, a fatal head-on collision occurred in Chisago City, Minnesota, resulting in the death of 15-year-old Jax Affolter. According to the Lakes Area Police Department, the crash happened shortly before 2 a.m. near the intersection of Stacy Trail and Ivywood Trail. The incident involved a 2014 Toyota Camry driven by a 14-year-old and a 2000 Toyota 4Runner driven by a 17-year-old. Both vehicles sustained severe damage, and emergency services were alerted by an automated crash notification system.

Jax Affolter, a passenger in one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 17-year-old driver of the 4Runner later succumbed to injuries at Regions Hospital. Several other teenage passengers were seriously injured and transported for medical treatment. Authorities confirmed that alcohol was found at the scene and is being investigated as a possible contributing factor.
