Jesus Escobedo Identified as Victim in Fatal Shooting Outside Granite City Bar – October 25, 2025

Authorities in Granite City, Illinois, have identified 26-year-old Jesus Escobedo as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning, October 25, 2025. According to the Granite City Police Department, officers were dispatched to Patrick’s Bar on Nameoki Road shortly before 1:50 a.m. after reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, Escobedo was found on the ground outside the establishment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency responders transported Escobedo to Gateway Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:37 a.m. The Madison County Coroner’s Office is awaiting toxicology results before determining the final cause of death. Funeral arrangements are being managed by Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville. The Granite City Police Department, in coordination with the coroner’s office, continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
