Jeffrey Rainey Fatally Struck by Train in Macon, Georgia on October 13, 2025

According to information released by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office, 40-year-old Jeffrey Rainey was killed early Monday morning after being struck by a train in Macon, Georgia. The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. behind a group of businesses located on Arkwright Road. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, where Rainey was pronounced dead. Authorities confirmed that he had been on the tracks at the time of the collision.

Coroner Leon Jones stated that Rainey, originally from Jones County, has been identified and that his family has been notified. No additional details regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident have been released, and the case remains under review by local officials.
