Jeremy Schopper Injured in Head-On Collision on US Highway 71 in Witcherville, Arkansas on December 30, 2025

On the evening of December 30, 2025, a severe head-on collision occurred on US Highway 71 in Witcherville, Sebastian County, Arkansas. A southbound 2001 GMC entered the northbound lane attempting to pass other vehicles and collided directly with a northbound 2015 Dodge. The impact caused the GMC to overturn, ejecting the driver. The accident resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries.

Jeremy Schopper, 47, of Gentry, Arkansas, was driving the Dodge at the time of the collision and sustained injuries requiring immediate medical attention. Two minors, also passengers in the Dodge, were treated for injuries. Schopper and the minors were transported to Washington Regional and Mercy Fort Smith hospitals. The driver of the GMC, 23-year-old Dylon Wagoner of Huntington, Arkansas, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Arkansas State Police continue to investigate the incident, and next of kin notifications have been confirmed.
