Jerry Williams Identified as Pedestrian Killed in Wonder Lake, Illinois Crash – November 7, 2025
Authorities have identified the man who died after being struck by a vehicle near Wonder Lake, Illinois, as Jerry Williams, age 65. The incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, November 6, 2025, along the 7300 block of Barnard Mill Road in unincorporated Wonder Lake. Emergency responders from the Wonder Lake Fire Protection District and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office arrived to find Williams unresponsive following the collision. Despite immediate medical aid and transport to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in McHenry, he later succumbed to his injuries at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
Preliminary findings from the McHenry County Coroner’s Office determined Williams died from blunt force injuries sustained in the crash. Investigators report that a 2016 GMC Acadia, driven by a 34-year-old woman with a family inside, struck Williams while traveling eastbound. All occupants of the vehicle were uninjured and cooperated with authorities. The McHenry County Sheriff’s Major Crash Investigation Unit continues to examine the circumstances of the fatal incident.
