On January 19, 2026, at approximately 1:55 p.m., a two-vehicle crash occurred on State Highway 60 West in Perryville, Arkansas. According to the preliminary investigation, a 2007 Chevy Impala traveling eastbound attempted to overtake another vehicle in a marked no-passing zone. During the maneuver, the vehicle veered right and braked while attempting to return to the proper lane, rotating before colliding with a westbound 2019 Toyota Highlander.

John Magie, 76, of Perryville, Arkansas, was identified as a passenger in the Toyota Highlander and was listed among those injured. He was transported for medical treatment following the collision.
