Johnna Wyatt Injured in Salem, Illinois Two-Vehicle Crash on November 13, 2025

A two-vehicle collision in front of the Salem Walmart on West Main Street resulted in injuries to 46-year-old Johnna Wyatt of Mt. Vernon. The incident occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, when a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Abigyle Wilson reportedly pulled from Walton Drive into the path of Wyatt’s westbound car. Emergency responders transported Wyatt to Salem Township Hospital for medical evaluation. Wilson declined treatment at the scene and was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection.

Local police and the Salem Fire Protection District assisted at the site as traffic was temporarily disrupted. The crash highlights persistent right-of-way violations that continue to contribute to preventable roadway incidents throughout the region. No additional injuries were reported, and authorities have not released further updates regarding Wyatt’s condition.
