Rose Young, 80, Fatally Struck in Allerton, Bronx Motor Vehicle Accident on November 13, 2025

On November 13, 2025, an 80-year-old pedestrian, Rose Young of Allerton, Bronx, was fatally struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Holland Avenue and Allerton Avenue. According to the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad, a 2005 Honda Odyssey, driven by a 56-year-old male, traveling northbound on Holland Avenue, executed a left turn onto Allerton Avenue and collided with Ms. Young. Emergency Medical Services transported her to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi in critical condition, where she was subsequently pronounced deceased.

The driver remained at the scene, and no arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing, with the NYPD examining the circumstances of the collision while the Department of Transportation reviews the street design in the area. This incident underscores continuing concerns regarding pedestrian safety in Bronx neighborhoods.
