Joshua Perry Killed in Sandy, Utah Crosswalk Collision – January 15, 2026

On January 15, 2026, Joshua Perry, 40, was fatally struck by a vehicle while using a crosswalk near 11000 South and 1000 East in Sandy, Utah, close to Alta High School. The driver, 55-year-old Zoe Carisa Blankenstein, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Responding officers reported that Blankenstein’s vehicle sustained damage to the front bumper, hood, and side mirror. She initially refused both field sobriety testing and a blood test but ultimately complied after being advised of her rights.
