Laurie Boice Dies in East Peoria Pedestrian Crash on Washington Road – January 16, 2026

Laurie Boice, 63, of Washington, Illinois, died on January 16, 2026, after being struck by a pickup truck in East Peoria. The collision occurred at approximately 5:50 p.m. in the 2300 block of Washington Road, between Meadow Lane and Briargate Road. Authorities reported that Boice was walking in the area when she was hit by the vehicle.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Tazewell County Coroner’s Office. A preliminary autopsy determined that she suffered multiple blunt-force injuries consistent with a vehicle impact.
