Arkansas State Police have confirmed that 37-year-old Lee Townsend, Jr. of West Memphis died after being struck by a vehicle in Trumann on the night of October 11. The preliminary fatal crash report states that the incident occurred at 9:58 p.m. near the intersection of South Ozark Avenue and Carlson Street. Townsend was walking northbound in the roadway when he was hit by a 2014 Dodge.

Emergency personnel transported Townsend to Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
