Liandra Jean Dittmore Dies in Fatal West Haven Car Accident, Utah, December 14, 2025

Liandra Jean Allen Dittmore, 41, of West Haven, Utah, died on December 14, 2025, following injuries sustained in a vehicular collision four days earlier. On December 10, Dittmore was driving home from work when another vehicle struck her car on the side, forcing it into oncoming traffic. She succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, leaving behind her husband, four children, and extended family.

Dittmore had devoted 14 years to Bates Elementary School as an elementary educator, having completed her degree at Weber State University in 2002. Colleagues described her as a passionate teacher with a profound commitment to her students. In death, Dittmore continued to demonstrate selflessness through the donation of her organs, providing life-saving contributions to six families. The community and school have organized support services to aid students and staff in coping with the loss.
