Luis Salcido Fatal Pedestrian Collision on Zaragoza Road in El Paso, Texas | October 8, 2025
El Paso Police have identified 22-year-old Luis Francisco Salcido as the pedestrian killed in a collision on Zaragoza Road on October 4, 2025. According to Special Traffic Investigators, Salcido entered the roadway against the crosswalk’s “do not cross” signal at the intersection of Zaragoza Road and Sun Fire Boulevard. A vehicle traveling through the intersection struck him, and he later died at the hospital.
Authorities have identified the driver involved but have not indicated whether charges will be pursued. Investigators state that the primary contributing factor was the pedestrian’s presence in the roadway against the active signal. The investigation remains open, and police are urging anyone with additional information to contact El Paso Police or Crime Stoppers.
