Manuel Andrade Killed in Route 140 Crash in Freetown, Massachusetts on November 2025 | Tow Truck Driver Dies After Overpass Fall

Manuel Andrade, a 52-year-old tow truck driver from Taunton, Massachusetts, was killed in a traffic collision on Route 140 south in Freetown on November 24, 2025, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office. Andrade was operating a tow truck in the left lane when investigators believe the vehicle was struck by another car traveling in the right lane. The impact caused the tow truck to be forced from the overpass and onto Washburn Road below.

Emergency responders arrived to find the overturned tow truck fully engulfed in flames, which were subsequently extinguished by firefighters. Authorities confirmed that Andrade sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. The driver of the other vehicle involved was not injured. The incident remains under review as officials continue to document the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
