Manuel Vidana Contreras Killed in Odessa, Texas Hit-and-Run Crash on December 4, 2025

On the evening of December 4, 2025, Manuel Vidana-Contreras, 55, was fatally struck by two vehicles while attempting to cross West 42nd Street near FM 1936 in Odessa, Texas. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. when Vidana-Contreras entered the roadway and was hit by a 2024 Lincoln Nautilus traveling eastbound.

Authorities stated that a second, unidentified vehicle also struck Vidana-Contreras and fled the scene. He was pronounced dead at the location of the crash. The driver of the Lincoln was not injured. The investigation remains ongoing as officials continue to search for the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
