Maria Verduzco Guerrero Injured in Finley Hit-and-Run Crash

On August 10, 2025, at approximately 7:34 p.m., a hit-and-run collision occurred on State Route 397 near Finley Road in Finley, Benton County, Washington. Maria Verduzco Guerrero, a 42-year-old resident of Kennewick, was driving a northbound GMC Terrain when it was struck by a southbound Jeep Patriot that failed to yield, causing the GMC to overturn. Guerrero and two children in her vehicle, aged 10 and 5, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Jeep, identified as a 40-year-old man, fled the scene on foot but has been identified as a suspect by authorities.
