Markus Ewart Killed in Motorcycle Collision in Provo, Utah – September 22, 2025

In Provo, Utah, on the evening of September 22, 2025, a fatal traffic collision occurred at the intersection of University Avenue and 1200 South. The incident involved a motorcycle and a van, with the van reportedly making a left turn before colliding with the motorcycle. The motorcyclist, identified as 20-year-old Markus David Ewart of Lehi, sustained critical injuries and was transported to Utah Valley Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Provo Police Department also responded to a secondary, unrelated crash nearby that obstructed traffic and initiated a DUI investigation. Due to the complexity of managing both incidents during peak hours, assistance was provided by the Orem Police Department. The crash that resulted in Ewart’s death remains under investigation.
