On September 23, 2025, 28-year-old David Morais of West Roxbury was fatally injured in an industrial accident at Materia Millwork, located on Bodwell Street in Avon, Massachusetts. According to officials, Morais was moving a stack of plywood when the incident occurred. Emergency responders were dispatched shortly before 3 p.m. following reports of a man with a head injury. Morais was found inside the facility and pronounced dead at the scene.
