Marvan Batoo and Ghaith Baban Fatally Shot in Shelby Township, Michigan on November 7, 2025
A double homicide at Star Auto Sales in Shelby Township has resulted in the deaths of owner Marvan Batoo, 40, and employee Ghaith Baban, 48. According to investigators, both men were found inside the dealership with fatal gunshot wounds after another employee arrived and contacted authorities. The investigation quickly identified a suspect, 46-year-old Terrance Jermaine Sandles of Houston, who had recently been involved in a dispute with the business regarding the purchase of a vehicle.
Authorities reported that Sandles, who had fled Texas while an arrest warrant was active, was driving a rented vehicle that allowed law enforcement to trace his location. He was apprehended during a raid at a Romulus hotel, where investigators recovered evidence linking him to the killings. Sandles has since been charged with first-degree murder and several related felonies. Officials have emphasized that the incident was not a robbery attempt, but a deliberate act targeting Batoo, with Baban killed simply because he was present at the time.
