Mary Lick Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 169 in South Harbor Township, MN

On August 17, 2025, at approximately 11:58 AM, a head-on collision occurred on Highway 169 near Tamarac Road in South Harbor Township, Mille Lacs County, Minnesota. A southbound 2026 Chevrolet Trailblazer crossed the center line and collided with a northbound 2020 Honda Ridgeline pickup. The driver of the Trailblazer, 69-year-old Donald George Goerisch of Big Lake, was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mary Beth Lick, age 62, of Excelsior, MN, was a passenger in the Honda Ridgeline. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Duluth St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ridgeline, Richard Christ Lang, also of Excelsior, was transported to North Memorial Hospital with similar injuries. Both individuals were restrained at the time of the crash. Road conditions were dry, and no alcohol involvement was reported. Emergency response included local fire, ambulance, and air medical services.
