Mauricio Rojo Fatal Hit-and-Run in Taylorsville, Utah | November 3, 2025

Authorities in Taylorsville have identified 65-year-old Mauricio Rojo as the motorcyclist killed in a hit-and-run collision on the evening of November 2, 2025. According to police, Rojo was struck near 5400 South and Warrior Way by a Chevy Avalanche whose driver fled the scene immediately after the impact. A witness followed the suspect at a distance while contacting emergency dispatchers, ultimately helping police pinpoint the suspect’s location.

Officers later arrested 48-year-old Dennis Kilgore, who was allegedly picked up by a rideshare vehicle after abandoning the truck involved in the crash. Investigators noted signs of intoxication and confirmed Kilgore has a history of DUI offenses dating back to 2021. He now faces multiple charges, including automobile homicide, and is being held without bail as the investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision that claimed the life of Mauricio Rojo.
