Miguel Reis Killed in Yarmouth, Massachusetts Trench Collapse on November 19, 2025
On November 19, 2025, Miguel Reis, 61, of Fall River, Massachusetts, was fatally injured in a trench collapse at a sewer construction site on S. Shore Drive in Yarmouth. The incident occurred at approximately 8:50 a.m., claiming Reis’ life and injuring two additional workers, one of whom is currently recovering at Rhode Island Hospital. Authorities, including the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office and OSHA, have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the collapse.
Initial observations indicated that several work trucks on site bore the branding of Revoli Construction, a company previously cited for OSHA violations in 2023.
