Oklahoma City Incident Leaves Antonio Hendricks in Coma — October 17, 2025

In Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, an 18-year-old man identified as Antonio Hendricks remains in a coma after spending less than a day in the custody of the Oklahoma County Jail. Hendricks was arrested on October 10, 2025, following a traffic stop near SE 44th and Sunnylane for improper lane use. According to police reports, officers discovered a firearm in his waistband and noted he did not possess a valid driver’s license. Body camera footage showed Hendricks walking and speaking normally at the time of his arrest.

He was booked into the county jail at 7:15 p.m., and his family posted bond that same evening. By the following afternoon, Hendricks had been officially released from custody and transferred to a hospital, where he was found unresponsive and diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury.
