Pamela S. Wall, a 39-year-old woman from Peoria, Illinois, was found dead while in custody at the Peoria County Jail during the early morning hours of December 10, 2025. According to the Peoria County Coroner’s Office, Wall was pronounced dead in her jail cell shortly after 5:00 a.m. An autopsy later determined the cause of death to be asphyxiation due to hanging.

County officials stated that Wall had been booked into the Peoria County Jail two days earlier on a failure-to-appear warrant. Authorities reported that no foul play is suspected based on the information available at this stage.
