Robert Baker Fatally Struck in Moreau Pedestrian Crash

On July 15, 2025, at approximately 11:47 a.m., a fatal pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of Fawn Road and State Route 9 in Moreau, Saratoga County, New York. Robert M. Baker, a 78-year-old resident of Moreau, was struck by a northbound commercial vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The operator of the commercial vehicle has been cooperative with the ongoing investigation conducted by the New York State Police.The incident prompted the closure of State Route 9 between the I-87 interchange and Spier Falls Road, including the northbound Exit 17 offramp of I-87, to facilitate collision reconstruction.
