Ruben Lujano and Martese Williams Killed in Multi-Crash Incident on I-57 in Calumet Park, Illinois on December 3, 2025

Ruben Lujano, 50, and Martese Williams, 33, were among three individuals killed during a series of crashes on Interstate 57 in Calumet Park, Illinois, on December 3, 2025, according to Illinois State Police. Authorities reported that an initial three-vehicle collision occurred shortly after midnight in the northbound lanes near 120th Street. Following that crash, the victims exited their vehicles and were standing outside when a separate vehicle struck them moments later.

Both Lujano and Williams were pronounced dead at the scene. Five additional individuals were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. The sequence of crashes prompted the closure of northbound I-57 for approximately eight hours as investigators examined the scene.
