Samantha Ortiz Identified in Fatal I-88 Crash in North Aurora, Illinois – October 27, 2025

On the evening of October 25, 2025, a fatal crash occurred along the westbound lanes of Interstate 88 near Mitchell Road in North Aurora, Illinois. According to the Illinois State Police and the Kane County Coroner’s Office, the victims were identified as Samantha Ortiz, 33, of Chicago, and Diego Nava Torres, 32, also of Chicago. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
