Steven M. Weigensberg Identified in Arlington Heights, Illinois Homicide Investigation on November 22, 2025
Authorities in Arlington Heights, Illinois have formally identified Steven M. Weigensberg, age 53 of Naperville, as one of two men found deceased in the utility room of a residential condominium complex on November 22, 2025. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, Weigensberg died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death has been ruled a homicide. The second individual, identified as Juan Medina, 53 of Palatine, was determined to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in what investigators described as an apparent suicide.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the Dana Point Condominiums on East Central Road following a 911 call reporting two unconscious individuals. Upon arrival, police and fire personnel determined that both men had sustained fatal traumatic injuries and were beyond medical intervention. The Arlington Heights Police Department continues to investigate the incident in coordination with the Major Case Assistance Team and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as officials work to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Steven M. Weigensberg and his supervisor.
