Wing Sum Vincy Tam Injured in Snowy Highway 52 Collision in Minneola Township, Minnesota on January 10, 2026

A two-vehicle crash along southbound Highway 52 in Minneola Township resulted in injuries Saturday evening amid deteriorating winter road conditions, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The collision occurred at approximately 7:44 p.m. near 440th Street, where a Kia Sorento entering the highway from a turnaround collided with a Buick traveling in the left lane. Authorities reported snow- and ice-covered pavement at the time of the incident.

Wing Sum Vincy Tam, 29, of Rochester, Minnesota, was identified as the driver of the Buick Envista and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for medical treatment. The occupants of the Kia were not injured. All individuals involved were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not suspected. The crash reflects the continued hazards posed by winter driving conditions on high-speed corridors in southeastern Minnesota.
