Xochitl Santos Killed in Driveway Hit-and-Run Incident in Southeast Houston, TX – December 23, 2025
On December 23, 2025, in southeast Houston, Texas, Xochitl Santos, a mother of four, was struck and killed in her own driveway after two vehicles sped down her residential street. According to Houston police, the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Corder Street. Investigators believe the driver of a Chevy Cobalt was pursuing his girlfriend following an argument moments earlier at a nearby apartment complex. Surveillance footage reviewed by authorities shows a gold Toyota sedan traveling at a high rate of speed, followed closely by the Chevy. Seconds later, the second vehicle left the roadway and struck Santos as she stood outside with some of her children.
Emergency services responded to the scene, but Santos was pronounced dead. Police confirmed that the driver of the Chevy was arrested, and charges are pending as the investigation continues. Witnesses reported that the confrontation began in an apartment parking lot before escalating onto the residential street. The incident has left Santos’ four children without their mother and prompted renewed concern among neighbors regarding reckless driving in residential areas. Authorities have not released additional details as the case remains under review.
